After going missing for a week, a German businessman was discovered dismembered and placed in a freezer late on Monday night in the southern Thai town of Nong Prue.

Who was Hans Peter Walter Mack?

Hans Peter Walter Mack, a 62-year-old real estate broker, was identified when police utilised security footage to find the home he was found in, about a quarter-mile from where his grey Mercedes-Benz was found parked, according to Viral Press.

Along with the dismembered remains, a garbage bag purportedly found in the freezer contained a Makita cordless chainsaw, a charging unit, two large rolls of plastic, a pair of yellow-handled hedge clippers, and more.

Mack’s wife Piraya Boonmak, 24, who resided with him in the city of Pattaya in the Chonburi province, just west of where the 62-year-old was found in Nong Prue, an upmarket community reputedly well-liked by foreigners, first reported him missing.

According to reports, Mack’s family offered a reward of three million Baht, or more than $86,000.

According to Thai authorities, Mack’s car included residues of a cleaning product on the seats, dashboard, and steering wheel.

Additionally, a sizable sum of money was purportedly missing from Mack’s bank account, which authorities believe may have something to do with his terrible demise.

Details of the murder have not yet been disclosed.

Police haven’t officially identified any of the suspects in the case, but they did say that they were looking into German and Thai nationals.

According to local news reports, Mack, who is 56 years old, was reportedly detained in February 2018 on suspicion of trafficking in minors for sex.

According to reports, Hans Peter Walter Mack, a German expat, was detained when it was discovered that he had followed Amornrat Kateuy, a person who was riding a motorbike and carrying a 17-year-old female, to a residence in Nong Prue.

Police said they observed Amornrat and a girl inside the house after receiving reports of underage prostitution. The Nation in Thailand reported that a German later appeared shirtless from a bedroom.

When Thai police broke into the house, they allegedly discovered a different 15-year-old girl in the bedroom who was just wearing a towel. She apparently informed police that the guy had purchased a “sexual service” from her.

Amornrat and Mack were accused of engaging in human trafficking and hiring a minor to perform sexual services, though Fox News Digital was unable to confirm whether Mack had actually been charged or whether any legal action had taken place after their detention.
