The Women’s T20 Challenge, also known as the Women’s IPL, is set to be played from November 4 to November 9 at Sharjah, UAE. The three teams, Trailblazers, Supernovas and Velocity, will lock horns to win the trophy that has been dominated by Harmanpreet Kaur-led Supernovas for the past two season.

With the tournament round the corner, lets take a look at the top five performers from last season: 

Smriti Mandhana

Smriti Mandhana, who played for Trail Blazers, had a dream start to her tournament last year, with a knock of 90 off 67 balls and winning the match by 2 wickets. She was the only player to get into the nineties and her 12 boundaries was the joint second-highest in the tournament along with Harmanpreet Kaur. 

Jemimah Rodrigues

The highest run-scorer of last season, Rodrigues finished with 123 runs. Along with winning the trophy with Supernovas, she also won the player of the series award. 

Harmanpreet Kaur

Indian national team captain Harmanpreet Kaur scored 98 runs in three matches, hitting 12 fours and three sixes. She captained Supernovas, eventually lifting the trophy at the end. 

Amelia Kerr

The 19-year-old Kiwi turned out to be the best bowler of the tournament, picking up six wickets at an average of 11.83 and an economy rate of 6.45.

Deepti Sharma

Although Deepti Sharma, who played for Trailblazers, went wicketless in the first match, she bounced back by picking up four wickets in the second match. Along with the best bowling figures in the tournament, she also had one of the best economy rates of 5.12.
