Guinness World Records certified the pool ‘the deepest swimming

training and recreational purposes, with facilities for education, training and

The spectacular pool has been created to resemble an abandoned,
sunken city.
News of the swimming pool created a buzz after Dubai crown
prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum shared a video of the
pool on Twitter.
“An entire world awaits you at Deep Dive Dubai, the world’s
deepest pool, with a depth of 60 meters (196 feet),” he wrote, sharing a video
which features divers exploring an underwater city with sunken trees, washrooms
and libraries.
The indoor swimming pool contains 14 million litres of
freshwater, enough for six Olympic-sized swimming pools. The water remains at a
constant temperature of 30°C,” according to Deep Dive Dubai.
While divers are being
allowed into the pool by invitation only right now, the pool is expected to be
opened for all later this year. Swimmers of all capacities, professionals as
well as beginners, will be able to explore the underwater attraction.
