Russell Wilson was evaluated for a head injury after he was hit trying to stop a touchdown run against the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday. The Denver Broncos quarterback returned to the field minutes later. However, fans booed him and trolled the 33-year-old on social media.
“Five years and $245 million for russell wilson was a catastrophic, franchise ruining mistake,” a social media user said.

The quarterback, who led the Seattle Seahawks to two consecutive Super Bowls, threw for 274
yards and had 22 rushing yards. He also had two interceptions.
Indianapolis Colts won 12-9.
Midway through the third quarter, when the score was tied at 6-6, Wilson took a shot deep, somehow connecting with two of his wide receivers. Courtland Sutton and Montrell Washington took off on a similar path, in the vicinity of their QB’s throw. They collided briefly before grabbing the pass.

Russell Wilson had 69 passing yards and 24 rushing yards for Denver at half-time. In the third quarter, DeForest Buckner forced a Wilson fumble on a sack, but the quarterback recovers.
“Russell Wilson really secured 245 million and immediately stink the joint up, wish it was me,” a Twitter user said.
“Can someone please tell me again why Russell Wilson is getting paid $245 million, my sister can play better than this!!” another one added.
“the Broncos paid $245,000,000 to Russell Wilson & then a rich conglomerate paid $4,650,000,000 to own the Broncos and then a richer man is paying $11,000,000,000 to broadcast them on TV for the next 11 years and all the rest of us watching this game are complicit,” a third one said.
Russell Wilson was also booed during his season-opener against the Seattle Seahawks and then again when he made his home debut for Denver.
Wilson has 980 passing yards this season and has thrown for four touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Matt Ryan of the Indianapolis Colts was sacked 5 times for the third time this season, which took his tally to 20 sacks, the most by any player in the league.
He overtook Washington Commanders quarterback Carson Wentz (17) to become the most sacked player in the season. Joe Burrow (Cincinnati Bengals), Matthew Stafford (Los Angeles Rams) and Justin Fields (Chicago Bears) have been sacked 16 times.
