Every month has two Ekadashi tithis, each of which is known by a distinct name. Yogini Ekadashi Tithi is the Ekadashi Tithi that falls on the Krishna Paksha of the Ashadha month. This year’s Yogini Ekadashi fast will take place on July 5. 

Devotees worship Lord Vishnu and fast on this Ekadashi. Lord Krishna, according to Hindu traditions, said that the Yogini Ekadashi fast will provide enough fruits to feed 88 thousand Brahmins.

Date and time of Yogini Ekadashi

The Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Ashadha month, according to the Panchang, will begin at 07:55 p.m. on July 4 and finish at 10:30 p.m. on July 5. Yogini Ekadashi Tithi will be commemorated throughout the day on July 5th, in addition to Udaya Tithi. As a result, the Yogini Ekadashi fast will only be valid on July 5th. 

According to Hindu mythology, on this day, the fasting individual should conduct Parana from 05:29 a.m. to 08:16 a.m. the next day of the fast. The fast must be broken before the conclusion of Dwadashi Tithi, according to the regulations.

The importance of Yogini Ekadashi

It is thought that by fasting on Ekadashi, one is liberated from all types of sins and receives all of one’s wishes. Fasting on Ekadashi is also believed by some to lead to salvation after death.

Yogini Ekadashi puja vidhi

Devotees should rise early in the morning and place a lamp in the house’s temple after taking a bath. The second step is to anoint Lord Vishnu with Ganga’s holy water. Offer Lord Vishnu flowers and Tulsi Dal, as well as prayers. To God, only sattvik offerings are made. 

Tulsi must be included in Lord Vishnu’s bhog. It is said that if Tulsi is not there, the deity would not accept the food. On this holy day, Goddess Lakshmi is also worshipped. Meditation in front of God might be beneficial to you.
