Former This Morning presenter, Phillip Schofield has decided to step down from his position as the broadcaster. The resignation comes after he admitted to having an affair with a male ITV employee.
Schofield admitted he was in a relationship, while he was still married to Stephanie Lowe.
Who is Stephanie Lowe?
Stephanie Lowe is the ex-wife of TV presenter Phillip Schofield. The couple was married in 1993. They have two children together, Ruby Lowe and Molly Lowe.

After he openly admitted the relationship with a young male ITV employee, he resigned. ITV has said they have accepted his resignation, saying he won’t be a part of the organization. As the statement from ITV spokesperson, said, “The relationships we have with those we work with are based on trust. Phillip made assurances to us which he now acknowledges were untrue and we feel badly let down.
“We accept his resignation from ITV and therefore can confirm that he will not be appearing on ITV as had previously been stated.”

Schofield in remorse said, “I did have a consensual on-off relationship with a younger male colleague at This Morning.
“Contrary to speculation, whilst I met the man when he was a teenager and was asked to help him to get into television, it was only after he started to work on the show that it became more than just a friendship.
“That relationship was unwise, but not illegal. It is now over.”
As per reports, the affair between Schofield and ITV employee happened when he was still married to Stephanie Lowe, before coming out openly as gay in 2020.

However, Schofield left This Morning last week amid reports of a falling out with co-star Holly Willoughby and said the departure is not related to the affair.
