Elon Musk, Tesla and SpaceX CEO, has been fixed on the number of bots on Twitter, which the entrepreneur feels would affect the value of the social media company. Musk brought back the popular astronauts in space meme template to make his point.
He tweeted an image of two astronauts in space, where one realizes that it’s all bots. The other astronaut, about to kill the one who’s reached this realization, quips “always has been”. Understandably, the astronaut reaching the conclusion has been labelled as Musk, while the one trying to silence this realization is labelled as the Twitter board.
Musk’s tweet comes amid a public spat with Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, who attempted to clarify the company’s stance on bots, and how the social media platform tackles the issue. However, Musk responded with a poop emoticon, and on a separate occasion said, “20% fake/spam accounts, while 4 times what Twitter claims, could be *much* higher. My offer was based on Twitter’s SEC filings being accurate. Yesterday, Twitter’s CEO publicly refused to show proof of <5%.”

He has also put his $44 billion deal on hold till the matter is cleared up.
The billionaire is known for his sense of humour and often shows his knowledge of memes as well. When Agrawal took over from Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey, Musk had made a meme on the new chief.
The 50-year-old’s recent post puts a new spin on the “Always has been” meme. The template of two astronauts watching something, while the second pulls the gun on the first, first appeared in a 4chan post around August 2018, but became more popular in 2019 with the “Wait it’s all Ohio” version.

In recent times, the meme resurfaced again, with hyperrealistic cakes taking the internet by storm, and leaving many confused about what’s real, and what’s a baked product.
Apart from Musk’s stance regarding Twitter bots, he’s also announced his intention to vote Republican, after numerous instances of poking fun at woke progressives.
