Moon Knight is a US TV miniseries created by Jeremy Slater for the streaming service Disney+. It is based on the Marvel Comics featuring the character of the same name.
It is the sixth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) to be produced by Marvel Studios. Slater serves as head writer with Mohamed Diab leading the directing team.
The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life.
Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. The role of Mark Spector is played by Oscar Isaac.
Isaac made his acting debut in the late 1990s. He studied acting at the Juilliard School and played small roles for a majority of the 2000s.
Isaac won the AACTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for portraying José Ramos-Horta in the Australian film Balibo (2009). Following supporting roles in major films such as Body of Lies (2008), Robin Hood (2010) and Drive (2011), Isaac had his breakthrough with the role of a singer in the Coen brothers’ black comedy Inside Llewyn Davis (2013), earning a nomination for a Golden Globe Award.
