Naru is the protagonist of the film Prey and she is a skilled Comanche warrior, who fights to protect her tribe against extraterrestrial creatures Yautja (Predators). Amber Midthunder plays the lead role of Naru in the film. She is an American actress well known for her roles in many TV series.

The film Prey is directed by Dan Trachtenberg, and it tells the story of the alien species Predator who come for their first hunt on Earth. Naru the skilled warrior is the one who dreams of being a hunter. Naru is always eager to prove her worth as a hunter to her villagers but she is always denied the chance as she is a woman, however, the arrival of the Predator near their home gives Naru the ultimate opportunity to prove her worth.

She is the one who first figured out the presence of the alien species in their forest along with her brother Taabe. Both of them engage in a fight with the Predators to protect their tribe but Tabee gets killed by one of the Predators. 

After a whole lot of engaging fights with the Predators who possess various superpowers, Naru is able to defeat them. She also proved herself to be an aspiring hunter in the eyes of her clan. 

Naru is an indigenous woman who has perfectly represented herself as someone unique in the film Prey and her character is contemporary to all American superhero films.

The film premiered at the San Diego Comic Cons on July 21, 2022, and is now out on Hulu in the United States on August 5. The film will also be released internationally by mid-2022 on Disney+.
