Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, actress and Tik-Tok star Sonali Phogat passed away on Tuesday after suffering a heart attack in Goa. Sonali Phogat, who has also contested in the last assembly election in Haryana, had posted a new profile picture on her social media accounts roughly 12 hours before she died. Sonali lost her husband in 2016, with whom she had a daughter named Yashodhara.

“I have learnt about the sad demise of Sonali Phogat.” BJP state president Om Prakash Dhankar said on Phogat’s death. “It is really sad news.”

BJP’s Hisar district president Capt Bhupender noted, “She was with some of her associates in Goa. We heard about an hour ago that she suffered a cardiac-arrest and passed away in the wee hours. Certain formalities are being completed there at Goa, after which her body shall be brought to Haryana.”

1. According to media reports, Phogat began her acting career in 2016 with the TV series ‘Ek Maa Jo Laakhon Ke Liye Bani Amma.’ Following that, she appeared in a number of Haryanvi and Punjabi films and music videos.
