The MTV Video Music Awards will be hosted on Sunday, August 28, 2022, where several entertainment stars will be in the running to win accolades. The show will feature popular American rappers Eminem and Snoop Dogg, who are set to perform From the D 2 the LBC, which is inspired by the Otherside.
Several top stars have been nominated for the iconic Moon Person statue and it is just a matter of time before the winners are unveiled.
Kendrick Lamar, Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow are the leading nominations with seven votes. Industry Baby, a collaboration piece by Lil Nas X and Harlow has helped the duo to be nominated for the Artist of the Year award alongside Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, Drake, Bad Bunny and Lizzo.

The duo are followed by Harry Styles and Doja Cat in the list, all of whom have got six votes for nominations. Dua Lipa, Drake, The Weeknd, Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift are also in contention to win the prestigious MTV award for the Artist of the Year and have five nominations in their kitty.
The MTV Video Music Awards emcees are Jack Harlow, LL Cool J and Nicki Minaj. The MTV Video Music Awards will be held on Sunday, August 28, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey and will be shown live from 8 pm ET.
Nicki Minaj will be performing several hits from her music career at the show before accepting the VMA Video Vanguard award. MTV has stated that the 39-year-old is receiving the Video Vanguard award for her artistry, groundbreaking hip-hop and recognition as a global star. The award is named after American legendary singer and dancer Michael Jackson.

Apart from Eminem and Snoop Dogg, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Bad Bunny will also be performing at the award show on Sunday.
Madonna has also received a nomination at the awards show for her studio album Madame X, which is also her 69th nomination for it. She is also the artist with the most awards won in the history of the show with 20 wins.
