Hilarie Burton’s One Tree Hill co-star, Bevin Prince revealed on Friday how Burton supported her after her husband’s death. Prince’s husband William Friend died aged 33 in July this year. 

The 40-year-old Prince opened up for the first time about “the absolute nightmare,” as she quoted in the 1on1 with Jon Evans podcast. Burton drove nearly 700 miles from Upstate New York to Wilmington, North Carolina, where Prince resides when she got to know about Friend’s death.

Who is Hilarie Burton Morgan?

Hilarie was born on July 1, 1982, in Sterling, Virginia to father Bill Burton and mother Lisa Burton. Her father is an army veteran and her mother is a real estate agent, who together raised her in Sterling. She is the only sister of four elder brothers. 

Burton graduated from Park View High School in 2000. She was vice president of the student council in her first year, treasurer in the second, and president and homecoming queen in the third year. She also went to New York University and Fordham University for further studies.

Pursuing her acting passion, she got her first major break with the role of VJ in MTV’s Total Request Live. She went on to present at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards and Iced Out New Year’s Eve. she made her television debut in 2022 when she went on to portray herself on The WB drama Dawson’s Creek.

The 40-year-old actress published her first non-fiction book The Rural Diaries: Love, Livestock, and Big Life Lessons Down on Mischief Farm in 2020. She also started a podcast, Drama Queens with One Tree Hill’s Sophia Bush and Bethany Joy in 2021.

Burton got into a relationship with actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan in 2009. It began after a blind date planned by their co-star couple Jensen Ackles and his wife Danneel. 

Burton and Morgan have two children together, an elder son and a daughter. They later married on October 5, 2019.
