Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) increased marginally on Monday, November 29, 2021. Gold futures were trading at Rs 47672.00 per 10 gm, up  87 points or 0.18%, in the Indian market. In global markets, gold was priced at $1,793.00 per oz.

Platinum was trading at $980.00 while palladium was trading at $1,796.50. Silver futures were trading at Rs 63451.00 per kg, up 486 points or 0.77%. In the spot market, the 22-carat (916) gold was sold at Rs 44395 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 63612 per kg on Monday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.

Gold has struggled this year after hitting a record high of Rs 56,200 in 2020 as the dollar strengthened on hopes of a swift economic recovery as Covid vaccination picked up the pace.

Global equity markets also retreated today as investors grew increasingly concerned about a growing energy crisis and spiking inflation.

The price of 10 grams of 22-carat gold in Delhi and Mumbai is at Rs 47,210 and Rs 47,320, respectively. In Chennai, 10 grams of 24-carat gold is selling at Rs 49,340 on Monday, while 10 grams of 22-carat gold is selling at Rs 45,230. In Kolkata, 24-carat gold is selling at Rs 49,690, while 22-carat gold’s price is at Rs 46,990.

In Chennai, the price of 1 kg of silver is at Rs 67,200 on Monday while in Delhi and Mumbai, the metal is selling at Rs 62,000. Silver is trading at Rs 62,000 per kg in Kolkata and Bangalore, while in Hyderabad, the rate is Rs 67,200.

Separately, the international oil standard, Brent crude futures, rose 4.3% to $75.85 USD per barrel. In early trade, the rupee gains 7 paise to 74.82 against the US dollar.

Copper futures were trading at Rs 733.45 up 0.80% while Nickel and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 1560.40 and Rs 210.90 per Kg respectively on MCX.
