The inclusion of a transgender woman in Hershey’s International Women’s Day advertising campaign in Canada has prompted some social media users to call for a boycott of the company’s goods.

The SHE bar was reintroduced by the chocolate maker on March 1 for a third time in an effort to “shine a light on the women and girls who motivate us every day.” This is being marketed as HER in Canada, with bars bearing the images of the five women who were selected to be a part of the promotion.

Fae Johnstone, a transgender rights advocate, was one of the people selected for the advancement and expressed their gratitude for the opportunity.
