Andor is one Star Wars show that gets into the minute details of how the Galactic Empire functions. Unlike the other shows we have seen so far from the franchise, Andor is rooted in reality and gives us an understanding of how the most common people in the galaxy suffer from the rules of those powerful people we have seen so far.

Although Andor is hardly as generous as the other Star Wars shows when it comes to Easter eggs, it does offer a few of those. Here is a look at all major Easter eggs from episode 8:Narkina

Planet Belsavis

The last episode ended with the wrongly accused Andor being sentenced to six years in prison. Here we find out where he is actually going- Narkina 5. While the prisoners are being segregated into different camps, we hear someone being ordered to line up for the vehicle that goes to the planet Blevis. This planet was often mentioned in the expanded Star Wars universe. Before the Galactic Empire, the planet served as the Rakatan Infinite Empire’s prison camp.

Narkina 5’s prison floors are made of tunqstoid steel

The floors of Narkina 5 are made of tunqstoid steel, a highly conductive material that is used by the prison guards to give electric shocks to the prisoners whenever they do not fall in line. This material finds mention in the novel Fate of the Jedi: Abyss, written by Troy Denning. Blast doors made of this metal are said to be capable of deterring a Jedi.

Andy Serkis returns to Star Wars

Lord of the Rings’ Gollum, Andy Serkis, is back in the Star Wars universe. He had earlier played the role of Supreme Leader Snoke in the sequel trilogy, but returns here to play an entirely different character. Theories were earlier circulating that he could return as Snoke in some other stage of the Supreme Leader’s life. However, that does not seem to be the case.
