An online petition calling for Netflix to cancel its rumoured reality series featuring ‘The Bachelor’ star Colton Underwood has been doing rounds on social media. It has amassed more than 24,000 signatures in five days.

This comes after several media houses, including Variety, reported that a Netflix documentary capturing Colton’s experience as gay was in production. However, Netflix declined to comment on the project. Colton recently came forward as gay on national television.

The petition on Change.org cites allegations of stalking and harassment against the reality television star levelled by his former girlfriend, Cassie Randolph.

“Cassie is a victim of Colton’s abuse, and he does not deserve a platform in any way. Regardless of his sexuality, Colton should not be given a platform as a result of his abusive, manipulative, and dangerous behaviour,” the petition reads.

Notably, Colton appeared on ‘Good Morning America’ last week where he revealed his sexuality. During the interview, he apologised to Cassie for “how things ended” between them and admitted he “made a lot of bad choices.”

In the 2019 edition of ‘Bachelor’, Colton chose Cassie as his final pick and the two dated even after the show ended.

After their split in 2020, Cassie filed a restraining order against Colton but later dropped it. However, she reportedly accused him of stalking and harassing her with disturbing text messages, attaching a tracking device to her car, appearing uninvited at her apartment and lurking around her parents’ home, according to TMZ.
