Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji starrer ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ has been postponed due to the rising COVID-19 cases in the country. Being produced by Yashraj Films, the film was supposed to release on April 23 but the new release date is yet to be announced.

This is not the only big-budget film that was supposed to release in theatres in 2021 as moviegoers were waiting to see their favourite stars in some of the most anticipated and promising projects this year. However, the increased case of Coronavirus has once again brought question marks on their release dates.

Ranveer Singh starring ‘83’: Ranveer Singh took to social media to unveil the release date of his much-awaited film, 83, in which he plays former cricketer Kapil Dev. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film will hit the theatres on June 4 this year.

Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Sooryavanshi’: The film starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif has been awaiting a release for over a year now. However, it has been announced recently that the Rohit Shetty directorial is heading to theatres on April 30.

Salman Khan starrer ‘Radhe’: Recently the superstar announced that as promised, his film will be hitting the screen in Eid 2021. Sharing a new poster on his social media handles, Salman announced that the film will release on May 13.

Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Shamshera’: The Ranbir Kapoor-starrer is an Indian rendition of The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood that will transport you back in time to the pre-independence era. The film is set to hit silver screens on June 25.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Brahmastra’: Fans have been anticipating the release of Brahmastra since the time the project was announced. Initially, the movie was supposed to release in December 2019 but was shifted to February 2020 as some work was still pending. The date was later set for December 4 2020 but it got postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The film is expected to release this year.

Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Prithviraj’: The historical drama, based on the legend of Prithviraj Chauhan, will also mark the Bollywood debut of Miss World 2017 Manushi Chillar. The film was originally slated to release around Diwali 2020 but has been postponed to November 5 of this year, due to the pandemic.
