Producer Boney Kapoor suffered losses of Rs 3.82 lakh after his credit card was unlawfully used, according to Mumbai Police, the producer has filed a complaint about computer fraud against an unnamed person.

An FIR was lodged under Indian Penal Code Section 420 and Information Technology Act Section 66 C.

The investigation has commenced, according to an officer from the Amboli police station, and efforts are being made to apprehend the suspect.

The authorities discovered that money from Boney’s card was transferred to a company’s account in Gurugram.

Boney Kapoor informed the cops that money had been taken from his bank account and that he had spoken with the bank about it. He also said that no one had inquired about his credit card information and that he had not received any phone calls about it. The details were allegedly obtained by the accused while he was using his card, according to police. The study is currently in progress.

Boney Kapoor is a renowned Indian film producer. ‘Hum Paanch’, starring Mithun Chakraborty, launched Boney Kapoor’s career in 1980. During his nearly four-decade career, Kapoor is best known for producing Shekhar Kapur’s sci-fi superhero picture ‘Mr. India’, which featured Anil Kapoor and Sridevi. Following that, he went on to make films like ‘Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja’, ‘Judaai’, ‘Pukar’, ‘No Entry’, and ‘Wanted’, all of which were critical and commercial triumphs.

He produced Ravi Udyawar’s directorial debut ‘Mom’ in 2017, which starred his wife Sridevi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Sajal Ali. Nerkonda Paarvai is one of his 2019 releases.
