Two of the biggest bands in the music industry have
confirmed that the rumours of a collaboration were indeed true. South Korean
boy band BTS will be collaborating with the veterans Coldplay for a track ‘My Universe’
which is set to release on September 24.

The official announcement was made earlier in the day via
the Twitter handles of both bands and the news has sent the fans into a frenzy.
The song will be a part of Coldplay’s ninth studio album ‘Music of the Spheres’
which will be out on Friday, October 15.

All of Coldplay’s eight studio albums have managed to take
the top spot on the official album charts. This collaboration seems to ensure
that the latest one will follow the footsteps of the previous eight.

The track has been written by both the bands and features
lyrics in English as well as Korean. A limited two-track CD single will be released
which would include a copy of handwritten lyrics of the song. It will include
the song ‘My Universe’ and an instrumental version of the same.

Here’s how twitter reacted to the news:

The song has been labelled the collaboration of the century
even before its release.

The fans are hoping that the single makes history for the
bands.
