After nearly three years of suspense, Netflix released Season 4 of ‘Stranger Things’ volume 1 on Friday. Iconic comedian “Weird Al” Yankovic is mentioned during a cafeteria scene between high school pals Dustin Henderson and Mike Wheeler, played by Gaten Matarazzo and Finn Wolfhard, respectively, and their Hellfire Club leader Eddie Munson, played by Joseph Quinn.

In the cafeteria scene, Munson says to Dustin – “I knew it the moment I saw you, you sat at that table right over there, looking like two little lost sheep, you were wearing a Weird Al T-shirt, which I thought was brave.”

The Hellfire Club’s leader is referring to a season three episode in which Dustin wears a light blue shirt with the cover of Yankovic’s 1984 album, “Weird Al” Yankovic in 3-D.

Yankovic is known as ‘Weird Al’ as he created and starred in the television show ‘The Weird Al Show’ in1997.

Yankovic expressed his gratitude for the name-drop by sharing a video of the 15-second scene on social media following the premiere on Friday.

The comedian captioned his tweet, “#Brave #StrangerThings.”

Yankovic’s “My Bologna,” a satirical take on the Knack’s hit song “My Sharona,” was also included on the Stranger Things 3 soundtrack.
