Sam Asghari, the husband of Britney Spears, and the singer have split after a contentious disagreement involving fidelity claims, as reported by TMZ.

According to media reports, Sam confronted Britney about suspicions that she had been cheating around a week ago. The rumor’s veracity is still in question, but Sam seems to have bought into it which led to a huge argument between the couple.

As per TMZ report, the couple’s relationship has been in serious upheaval for some months, even before the most recent argument. Notably, Asghari hadn’t been spending much time at their joint house even before the argument. Further information has shown that Spears and Asghari engaged in heated arguments marked by physical altercations and ferocious shouting bouts.

The couple’s divorce comes just two months after the happy occasion of their first wedding anniversary, which was celebrated in June. Notably, in the months prior, both Sam and Britney were frequently seen without their wedding bands, which sparked rumors among their fans about possible relationship issues. The spokesman for Sam swiftly denied these claims earlier to the media, claiming that “Sam is not experiencing any marital challenges.”

Sam Asghari and Britney Spears met in 2016, and their romance began as a result of his participation in one of her music videos. On September 12, 2021, they revealed they were getting married.

Sam, who doubles as a fitness instructor and an actress, has been a steadfast ally of the pop star throughout and after the contentious legal battle over her conservatorship. Prior to this, their ability to be married and Britney’s ability to have further children were both hampered by the restrictions of her conservatorship.

On November 12, 2021, Los Angeles County Judge Brenda Penny ruled in Britney’s favor, ending her parents’ conservatorship over her finances. Britney Spears and Sam Asghari later exchanged vows in a private ceremony held in California on June 9, 2022.
