The follow-up to Capcom’s cult favorite action RPG, Dragon’s Dogma 2, has finally blessed us with a nice trailer and a glimpse at some in-game graphics. In fact, the trailer’s contents are so apparent some feel Capcom has given away too much at once. Watch the trailer below:

Although many aspects of Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be similar to the first game, Capcom revealed some information worth exploring, such as information regarding the global size and physics-based gameplay.

The original game’s director, Hideaki Itsuno, has returned to direct this sequel, which will utilise the RE engine. Although Capcom has largely kept the game’s details under wraps, they have previously promised physics- and AI-driven technology, as well as a vast variety of weapon types and classes.

Director Hideaki Itsuno revealed during the webcast that Dragon’s Dogma 2 will take place in a universe that is around four times larger than the one in the first game. We’re hoping they’ll add mounts—perhaps a dragon?—and cutting-edge quick travel possibilities because the globe in that game was already incredibly large and had only a few fast travel options.

Itsuno also alluded to gameplay that uses “immersive physics,” giving examples like pulling on a monster[‘ or demolishing a bridge.

A single-player open-world RPG called Dragon’s Dogma 2 will allow you to bring your own Pawn—an NPC companion—as well as up to two Pawns from other players. Itsuno stated that the game would include new professions for players to choose from as well as fresh enemies like Medusa.

Additionally, we got a glimpse of Ulrika, a bow-wielding character, and Nadinia, a high priestess, two characters who are important to the plot and will appear on the game’s cover image. Nadinia is particularly intriguing because they are a member of the Beastren race and have leopard-like markings on their faces.
