Drake‘s fans speculated that the singer and rapper has been arrested by law enforcement officials in Sweden on Thursday night. His fans’ theories brewed overnight, with no official statements from either the singer or his management team.

Social media posts suggested that Drake, 35, had been by local police while partying at a nightclub in Stockholm. It is still unclear why Drake took a trip to Europe, but his fans are guessing he is there to record new music.

Drake’s management team spoke to the Hollywood Reporter early Friday and confirmed that he had not been arrested by law enforcement officials in Sweden. Instead, he was in his hotel room.

Drake’s posts on Instagram also suggest a similar story. The Canadian rapper appeared to land at Sweden’s Arlanda airport on Wednesday afternoon. Since then, local media reports suggest that he visited the trendy Ostermalm district of Stockholm and also went to the famous Ciccio’s restaurant.

Drake currently does not have any shows lined up in Europe. However, his schedule appears to be tightly packed beginning July 28, 2022, when the October World Weekend is scheduled to start. The lineup for the event also includes a Young Money reunion featuring Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj and special appearances from singers like Lil Baby and Chris Brown.
