Major
League Baseball (MLB) on Thursday unveiled the jerseys for the 2021 All-Star
Game
, scheduled to be played in Denver next month. The much-awaited game, also
known as the ‘Midsummer Classic’ is slated to be played at the Coors Field,
home of the Colorado Rockies, on July 13.

The hats
and jerseys are themed after the respective teams, with the Rockies’ jersey
featuring the letters “COL” for Colorado. Meanwhile the hats will feature the
initials of each team’s logos along with the purple star and a mountain in the
background.

The jerseys are traditional batting practice-style with an abbreviation for each team’s name and their logos on the right. Another difference this year is the fact that usually, players wear their respective team’s jersey during the showpiece event.

The All-Star
Game was initially slated to be held in Atlanta but was moved to Denver because
of the passage of the controversial Election Integrity Act of 2021 in Georgia, which
overhauls voter access in the state.
