In September, the first-ever Disney and Marvel Games Showcase will launch, exhibiting brand new video game announcements from Star Wars, Pixar, Marvel, and others.

The digital display will premiere on September 9 at the D23 Expo, and it has already promised more information on Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Skydance New Media’s Amy Hennig’s Marvel ensemble game, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and Disney Dreamlight Valley.

According to Disney, Marvel Games, Lucasfilm Games, and 20th Century Games will all be present to some extent during the showcase, offering “reveals, announcements, and trailers for new and upcoming games.”

The Disney and Marvel Games Showcases will be streamed live online, allowing anyone who is unable to attend the D23 Expo to participate. At 4 pm ET, it will be available on the expo’s YouTube and social media outlets, as well as Disney and Marvel’s primary channels.

Given that this is Disney and Marvel’s first games presentation, it’s unknown what kind of announcements will be made, although there are plenty of Marvel and Star Wars games in development to select from.

Spider-Man 2 by Insomniac Games was revealed last September, and despite a 2023 release date, little has been known about it since. Insomniac is also working on a Wolverine game, and a digital card game called Marvel Snap is now in beta and waiting for an official release date.

On the Star Wars front, we know that Star Wars: Hunters, Zynga’s Overwatch-style multiplayer game, has been delayed until 2023. The sequel to Fallen Order, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, was announced in May with a teaser video, so developer Respawn may offer a little more during this demo.

Amy Hennig is also developing a Star Wars game, and there are several more in development, including an open world game from Ubisoft, a first-person shooter from Respawn, a Knights of the Old Republic remake, and Star Wars Eclipse – a story-driven game with branching paths.
