‘Jab Saiyaan’, a track from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, recently released on music platforms, including YouTube.
With vocals by Shreya Ghoshal, the soulful track introduces actor Shantanu Maheshwari as protagonist Alia Bhatt’s love interest in the film.
The video features the two sharing romantic moments, riding on carriages and sharing glances. The lyrics of the track are written by AM Turaz.
Released two hours ago by Saregama Music on YouTube, the melodious track has amassed over 564,000 views and more than 1,900 comments.
One YouTube user wrote, “I got goosebumps while hearing this song. What a song by Shreya Ghoshal, oh my my, amazing.”
Another user added, “The melodyyy! The expressions! Shreya Ghoshal! Alia Bhatt! SLB! Shantanu Maheshwari! Everything looks so good!”

‘Dholida’, a traditional folk track from the film, was released earlier this week.
‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ is a biopic inspired by the life of a matriarch icon who rose to prominence in the criminal underworld. With Alia Bhatt essaying the role of Gangubai, the film also stars Ajay Devgn, Vijay Raaz, Huma Qureshi, and Seema Pahwa. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on February 25.
