Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut on Saturday took to Twitter to share her experience of growing up as an atheist and how she was intrigued by Hinduism. She also said that her grandfather was a man of science and he engraved the concept of atheism in her mind.
Quoting a tweet about a concept called ‘kundalini’, the 33-year-old actor wrote, “Nicely explained, growing up I was an atheist, was studying science, kundalini was one of the reasons why I was intrigued by Hinduism, Hinduism offers practical for all its theories that gave me the courage to do experiments with various science of 4 Yogas I used Vivekananda’s methods.”

“My grandfather was an atheist he engraved the concept in my mind, he was highly educated and successful person, a man of sharp intellect he debated with many against God and religion, he encouraged people to take up science somehow he separated the two, God and Science,” she added.
Kangana, who hails from Himachal Pradesh, often speaks about her family and talks about Hinduism. Last month, she claimed that she “became the first rebel Rajput woman at 15,” after she fought with her father and left home.

On the work front, the Padma Shri awardee wrapped up her shooting schedule in Rajasthan’s Bikaner for her upcoming film ‘Tejas’. Her much-awaited film ‘Thalaivi’ will release this year, the trailer of which will be unveiled on her birthday, March 23.
