Rapper Gucci Mane has been accused of defrauding Big Scarr’s family out of money for the late rapper’s funeral.

On December 22, Scarr, who had a record deal with Gucci’s New 1017 Records label, died at the young age of 22. Later, it was revealed that he unintentionally overdosed on prescription medication at his girlfriend’s home in Memphis, Tennessee.

Gucci was criticized by Scarr’s close friend and collaborator Quezz Ruthless over the weekend for reportedly agreeing to cover his former signee’s burial costs but then abandoning his family when it came time to make the payment.

“You say to them you finna pay for the funeral, then you lie,” Quezz said. “You didn’t have to lie! You ain’t have to go ghost either, cuh. It was gonna get paid for either way. You could’ve just said you ain’t have the money. You don’t get no type of respect for that, cuh.”

He added, “The minute that them folks called yo phone to see if you gon’ pay for the funeral, you blocked them. That’s not real, cuh. You ain’t straight. You only trying to act all real. You posted Scarr talking ’bout some long live — bruh, you ain’t do nothing, cuh.”

Here’s a snippet from Queez’s Instagram live:

“When they texted you and asked you about Scarr’s funeral, cuh, you told them folks that Keyshia’s birthday coming up. Man, y’all rich! Y’all can celebrate her birthday any day. Come on now, cuh.”

Quezz alleged that following Scarr’s passing, Gucci Mane requested that his family return his 1017 chains, but the So Icy Boyz boss was informed it wouldn’t be happening.

“You not getting them chains, bruh,” he said matter-of-factly. “You ain’t even text and check on the family, but you text about some chains. I can’t believe you, cuh! You betta not come trying to get these chains. We gon’ have a real problem,” Quiz said about this allegation. “Them chains, ours. Everything that we got, ours. You not getting it back, boy…Texting ’bout you want the chains; come get ’em then. Please come try to grab them,” he added.
