Beyonce is all ready to break the record for the artist with the most Grammy wins at the 65th Grammy Awards which is due to air Sunday. Queen Bey has been nominated for nine awards this year. She just needs three more to tie, or four more to earn the record for most overall wins in Grammys history.

Incidentally, her nine nominations are the most nominations for a music artist in the Grammys. Also, it ties her with her husband Jay-Z for the most nominations, with 88.

Who can forget 2017’s Album Of The Year when Beyonce’s Lemonade was pitted against Adele’s 25. Even though Adele won that time, her acceptance speech honored Beyonce in s special way. “I can’t possibly accept this award, and I’m very humbled, and I’m very grateful and gracious, but the artist of my life is Beyoncé.” She said that Lemonade “was just so monumental… and so well thought out, and so beautiful and soul-bearing, and we all got to see another side to you that you don’t always let us see… I love you, I always have, and I always will.”

How many Grammys has Beyonce won?

So far, Beyonce has won 28 Grammy awards in total. She bagged her first Grammy in 2001 with the song Say My Name in two categories, Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and Best R&B song. In 2010, she had the most victories including Album of the Year, for ‘I am…Sasha Fierce’.

Beyonce already holds the record for most nominations. Additionally, she is lacking three more victories to become the most Grammy Award-winning artist. The title is currently held by the conductor George Solti.

This year, Beyonce will be competing with stars like Adele, Harry Styles, Lizzo, and ABBA. Beyonce has already announced a World Tour for her nominated album, Renaissance. It remains to be seen if Renaissance is going to bring her the winner of the year or not.
