Hrithik Roshan surprised his fans recently when he teased a
possible ‘Krrish’ reboot while commemorating the 15th anniversary of his
superhero film. The film was a sequel to the 2003 film ‘Koi… Mil Gaya’,
directed by Hrithik’s father, Rakesh,  and was followed by ‘Krrish 3’. According to reports, ‘Krrish 4’ will revolve around time travel and will reintroduce the fan-favourite
alien, ‘Jadoo’.

Hritik posted a short video on social media in which he can
be seen leaping from a great height while dressed as his superhero alter-ego.
He captioned it, “The past is no longer relevant. Let us see what
the future holds. #Krrish4 #15YearsOfKrrish.” In a previous interview, he
stated that he would choose ‘Krrish 4’ as his next project after completing

According to a source close to the development, the fourth
edition will revolve around time travel, according to NewsBytes. “The creators are attempting to
construct the universe in such a way that the worlds of Koi… Mil Gaya, and
Krrish can coexist. While the idea of resurrecting Jadoo is still in the works,
the creators have settled on the concept of time travel for this one,” they
stated.

“Krish as a franchise has a strong sci-fi backdrop, and there has been a gradual significance of time throughout all of the films,” the source continued. ‘In Koi… Mil Gaya’, Rohit Mehra communicates with Jadoo using his father’s equipment, whereas, in Krrish, Rohit creates a Time Travel Machine, which becomes the object of interest. The story of ‘Krrish 4’ will rely heavily on time travel.

Rakesh Roshan, who has directed the entire franchise up to
this point, announced the fourth film in 2018. Rakesh was aiming for a
Christmas 2020 release, but that couldn’t happen because he was diagnosed with
early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat and had to undergo surgery in
2019. The actor then stated that they would begin after his father’s recovery.
