John Steiner was a British actor and real estate agent. He attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Academy. He died in a car accident in La Quinta on July 31, 2022, at age 81.

Steiner suffered a two-vehicle accident in La Quinta, California on Sunday and was declared dead at the nearby Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, as informed by the Riverside County’s Sheriff’s Department to a local newspaper.

The actor was born on January 7, 1941, in Chester, England. He was initially an actor and later worked as a real estate agent in Beverly Hills of Los Angeles, most recently for Engel & Volkers. 

Steiner began his acting career in 1965 on Broadway with With the Royal Shakespeare Company. He worked alongside  Ian Richardson in ‘The Persecution and Assassination of Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charenton Under the Direction of the Marquis de Sade’ that year. 

In 1979, he played the lead role of Leo in a television production of Noel Coward’s Design for Living.
