Kim Kardashian, who became a single parent after her divorce from her ex-husband, Kanye West, has opened up about her struggles of being a single mother and subsequently was trolled by social media users on Twitter.
The 42-year-old reality star is mother to four children – North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
Kardashian opened up about the challenges of raising children without the help of a second parent while making an appearance on the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast. She also revealed that there were nights that she cried herself to sleep. “It has been the most challenging thing,“ the Skims mogul said about parenting. She added that it also was “the thing that has taught me the most about myself.”

“There are nights I cry myself to sleep. Like, holy shit, this f-cking tornado in my house. Like, what just happened?” She continued. “You know, with all the moods and the personalities and sometimes they’re fighting, and you know, there’s no one there. Like, it’s [just] me to play good police officer and bad cop.”
Nevertheless, she described the experience as “full madness” and the “best chaos.”
“It’s like I always have to do one of my daughter’s hair — and it has to be perfect and it has to be a certain way — and then this one needs me to put his shoes on and they all need you. … It’s like full crazy madness, cooking, running around. Like, it’s wild,” she added.
She was immensely trolled on Twitter as people pointed out the fact that she had the means and money to afford multiple nannies who would surround her kids 24/7. They insulated that the real struggles are of single parents who could not afford to hire round-the-clock help.
“And she has like 4+ Nannie’s imagine those with no help,” one of them tweeted, while another noted, “Nahhhh Lmao is this before or after the Nannie’s take the kids.” One more said, “She has two Nannie’s per kid someone tell her to stfu respectfully.” A third quipped, “These celebrities be wanna play the ‘single mom’ roll so fuccin bad.”
Another Twitter user said, “when we say single mom we are not talking about u and yo rich a** Nannie’s … we talking bout us poor folks.” One more wrote, “Single parent with Nannie’s and maids. Please stop this poor me act.” Another one tweeted, “I have so much empathy for single parents, I swear I do, but Kim babe, we know you got Nannie’s and cooks and s**t now please.”
