The Barbie press tour is finally coming to an end in advance of the movie’s July 21 theatrical release, after what seems like an eternity of anticipation. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of this film, and the marketing and PR team behind Barbie has consistently hit the target. This time, for the World Premiere of Barbie, Margot Robbie wore the most iconic Barbie look: ‘Barbie Spotlight,’ the stunning and glittering black gown.

Robbie channeled the 1960 Solo in the Spotlight doll in her black sequin Schiaparelli dress, staying committed to her recent inventory of Mattel-approved designs. The glittering strapless gown had a body-hugging A-line creation that ended at her shins and transitioned into a dramatic tulle hem, revealing her black peep-toe Manolo Blahnik slides.

Then Robbie displayed an astonishing level of attention to detail by placing a single red rosette along the fluffy tutu, much like the doll’s original clothing. She dressed up her look with a blush handkerchief, stacked diamond choker, and black velvet opera gloves. She mimicked Barbie’s glam with a bright red lip and delicate eye makeup, and her blonde hair was fashioned in a high ponytail with finger curls down the side.

The internet went into a frenzy after witnessing Margot Robbie in all of Barbie’s glory, with one Twitter user saying, “This movie better make a billion dollars because they deserve every tucing cent,” while another one commenting, “I hope her glam squad is having the time of their life. How could it not be fun to keep dressing someone as Barbie with references included?”
