Michael Pitt, the star of Boardwalk Empire, was taken into custody after a highly public outburst in New York City, according to TMZ on Wednesday. Pitt was then brought to a hospital.  

According to a video obtained by the news website, Pitt was seen strapped to a gurney and surrounded by EMS technicians last Friday. The technicians were seen wheeling the gurney down a sidewalk in Bushwick, Brooklyn, as they waited for an ambulance. TMZ said that the 41-year-old looked dazed as he lay quietly on the stretcher.

According to a law enforcement source, a male was hurling objects at individuals when an unnamed person contacted 911 and reported the incident. Police arrived at the scene and detained Pitt.

Pitt is an American actor, model, and singer, was born on April 10, 1981. The 41-year-old actor is well known for his roles in the films Murder by Numbers (2002), The Dreamers (2003), Last Days (2005), and Funny Games (2007). He is also well-known for his television roles as Henry Parker in Dawson’s Creek (1999-2000), Jimmy Darmody in Boardwalk Empire (2010-2011), and Mason Verger in Hannibal (NBC, second season) (2014).

Pitt was born in West Orange, New Jersey, the United States, on April 10, 1981. He was born to Marry Lindsey and Gilbert Pitt. Pitt’s mother worked as a medical caretaker at a nearby health centre, while his father studied craftsmanship and worked as an interior decorator.
