Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Tamil actor Vijay met at a studio in Chennai on Thursday, grabbing the attention of their fans in the social media. While Dhoni, who is the captain of the IPL team Chennai Super Kings, was in the studio to shoot for a commercial, Vijay was shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Beast’. 

In the photos, Dhoni was seen sporting a casual look in a black tee and blue jeans while Vijay was seen wearing grey denim shirt. The pictures of their meeting and a video clip of the actor seeing off the cricketer have gone viral on social media. 

“OMG!! What a M O M E N T. Two DEMI-GODS for their fans together. Mutual fans of these legends are too high… They must be in tears right now,” one person wrote. 

Dhoni arrived in Chennai on Tuesday ahead of the departure of a group of players to the UAE, which would host the remainder of the Indian Premier League next month.

Chennai Super King’s twitter handle also shared a picture of the duo with the caption “Master and the blaster!”

Nelson Dilipkumar, the director of ‘Beast’ tweeted “#Beast & #Lion…#double beast mode.”

The duo first met in 2008 when Vijay was announced as the brand ambassador of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the inaugural season of IPL. 

On the professional front, Vijay has announced ‘Beast’ in June. Poduced by Sun Pictures, the action thriller stars Pooja Hegde, along with Yogi Babu, Shine Tom Chacko, VTV Ganesh and Aparna Das in supporting roles. His previous film ‘Master’ that had released in cinemas inJanuary had set the stage on fire, collecting Rs 162 crore.
