Pogues vs. Kooks

Living on the Outer Banks has its advantages and disadvantages. As a Kook, you’re either part of the aristocracy, or you’re with the working class, or Pogues. The Kooks are constantly able to get out of jail because to their affluent lifestyle, but the Pogues are not so lucky. As a result of all the friction, they don’t appear to be as affluent or well-established as their counterparts. Pope (Jonathan Daviss), Kiara (Madison Bailey), and Jon B. are all Pogues, and they encounter many challenges.

Season 1 ended on a huge cliffhanger when John B. and Sarah (Madelyn Cline) fled the OBX aboard a ship bound for the Bahamas, and viewers were left hanging. Ward (Charles Esten), Sarah’s wicked father, is believed to have sent the riches to the islands. John B. has been falsely accused of the murder of a local sheriff and the two are trying to escape town. As the treasure quest turns lethal, the couple’s pals JJ (Rudy Pankow), Kiara (Madison Bailey), and Pope (Jonathan Daviss) assume they’re dead.

Other than going on a treasure quest, John B. and his companions want to revenge the murder of his father. Jon B’s quest to discover  what happened to his father, who has been missing for some time, is the series’ central plotline. It was before his father’s death that he began to hunt for the enigmatic gold. John B realised during the first season of Outer Banks that Ward is guilty for Big John’s premature passing. The local sheriff was also slain by Sarah’s brother Rafe (Drew Starkey). A working-class Pogue like John B. is plainly prepared to take the blame for Rafe’s huge error.
