Demi Lovato updated her pronouns in their Instagram bio, fans noticed on Friday. The ‘Cool for the Summer’ singer added a new identifier and now the 29-year-old’s profile lists – they/them/she/her.

However, Lovato has not made any official announcement about the change and it is when they changed their bio. 

The ‘Heart Attack’ singer, who also appeared of ‘Barney & Friends’ in nonbinary. The 29-year-old had announced last year that they/them is their pronouns. However, the note added that they would forgive anyone who mistakenly misgenders them. 

“If you misgender me – that’s OK. I accidentally misgender myself sometimes,” Lovato wrote after announcing their pronouns. 

They further called it a ‘huge transition’  to escape the labels used for the majority of their life.

“As long as you keep trying to respect my truth, and as long as I remember my truth, that shift will come naturally. I’m just grateful for your effort in trying to remember what means so much to my healing process.”

Lovato had also said that the way they identify today might not stay constant.

“There might be a time where I identify as trans. I don’t know what this looks like for me. There might be a time where I identify as non-binary and gender nonconforming my entire life. Or maybe there’s a period of time when I get older that I identify as a woman, I don’t know what that looks like, but for me, in this moment right now, this is how I identify,” the singer said. 

They added that “it’s about keeping it open and free and just– I’m a very fluid person, and so that goes with how I express myself as well.”
