Bob Saget, who was found “unresponsive” on Sunday at a hotel in Flordia’s Orlando, was later declared dead by the state authorities. He was 65 years old. The actor and comedian was given a tribute by his family, friends, fans and colleagues on social media following his demise. Many praised the veteran comedian for his talent and kindness.
Candace Cameron Bure, who was Bob Saget’s co-star on the renowned television series ‘Full House’, wrote on Twitter, “I don’t know what to say. I have no words. Bob was one of the best humans beings I’ve ever known in my life. I loved him so much.”
Canadian American actor Jim Carrey wrote, “He had a big, big heart and a wonderfully warped comic mind. He gave the world a lot of joy and lived his life for goodness’ sake.”
Craig Thomas, the co-creator of the sitcom ‘How I Met Your Mother’– in which Bob Saget played a role — wrote, “I don’t even know what to say about Bob Saget. I loved him and was so lucky to work with someone so funny, soulful and kind. His role on himym was a voice in the future, looking back on all of life’s complexity with a smile, and that’s how I’ll always remember him.”
In a statement Sunday, Saget’s family members said they are “devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today…. Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world.”
Saget was in Florida as part of his “I Don’t Do Negative Comedy Tour.” After warm audience receptions to his gigs Friday in Orlando and Saturday in the Ponte Vedra Beach resort area, he celebrated online.
