The series has become the most-watched in history, and it has inspired hundreds of Halloween costumes. Following the phenomenal success of the first season, show creator Hwang Dong-hyuk addressed the possibility of a Season 2. “I almost feel like you (fans) force us to,” he told the Associated Press.

Does Squid Game Season 2 have a release date?
It’s too early to tell. However, assuming the series is only in pre-production, the new season could be released in 2023 or even 2024. It’s been a long wait for fans all over the world, but given that the first season was planned for more than a decade, it’s understandable.
Squid Game Season 2 cast, who’s in it?

The show’s creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk, spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about what could happen in a second season: “It’s true that season one ended in an open-ended manner, but I actually thought that this could be a good closure for the entire storey as well,” he explained. However, he believes that “some other stories in the series have not been addressed.”
“For instance, the storey of the police officer and his brother, The Front Man,” he explained. He also wants to expand on the storey of “that recruiter in the suit who plays ddakji with Gi-hun and gives him the card in the first episode,” as well as learn more about Gi-past hun’s and what he plans to do next.
