Tamil actor Suriya’s 46th birthday eve just got better. The makers of the tentatively titled film, Suriya 40, released the first-look motion poster of the film, announcing its name. Interestingly, it marks the 40th movie of the Tamil superstar.
The actor is featured sporting an intense look as a gangster in the poster that revealed the name of the movie as Etharkkum Thunindhavan. The film is allegedly a rural entertainer directed by Pandiraj, of which the shoot had resumed post lockdown 2021 on July 13.
The makers took to Twitter to share the poster and tweeted, “#Suriya40 is #EtharkkumThunindhavanHere is the first look: https://youtu.beOeAG743EXX4 @Suriya_offl @pandiraj_dir #Sathyaraj @immancomposer @RathnaveluDop @priyankaamohan @sooriofficial #ET #Suriya40FirstLook #HappyBirthdaySuriya (sic).”
Suriya shared the news on Twitter to unveil the much-awaited motion poster as well. “Dear all here is the first look of #EtharkkumThunindhavan,” he wrote.
In a recent development, the makers have announced that the second look of the film will be released just as the clock strikes 12, marking Suriya 46th birthday.
Etharkkum Thunindhavan stars Sathyaraj and Priyanka Arul Mohan in important roles. While Suriya and Priyanka Mohan will be playing the lead, Sathyaraj, Saranya Ponvannan, Devadarshini, Jayaprakash, and Ilavarasu are going to grace the screen supporting characters.
The film marks the third collaboration between Suriya and Pandiraj after Pasanga 2 and Kadaikutty Singham. Produced by Sun Pictures, it has a background score composed by D Imman.
The film is expected to dabble in romance, family emotions and a whole lot of action. The production of the film is expected to soon wrap up in September. However, the release date of Etharkkum Thunindhavan is still under wraps. After missing Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru’s release on the big screen and having to watch it on Amazon Prime, fans of Suriya cannot be more excited as Etharkkum Thunindhavan is scheduled to release in theatres.
Suriya will soon be starred in Netflix’s upcoming Tamil anthology of films titled Navarasa created by Mani Ratnam. He will be a part of the ‘Guitar Kambi Mele Nindru’ segment directed by Gautham Menon. The anthology is slated to release on July 6.
