Zee5 has come out with a new thriller web series featuring
Shamita Shetty, Mona Singh and Swastika Mukherjee in lead roles. They are playing the role of women stuck with abusive husbands in the series titled ‘Black Widows’. Zee5 has released the trailer to give a glimpse of what promises to be a thrilling experience.
One’s husband threatens to kill their daughter while another’s beats her behind closed doors. The third treats his wife like a commodity, sharing her with his friends. The women, tired of living a life of abuse and fear, decide to take matter into their own hands and murder their husbands.

After the murder, they have a brief period of reprieve where they enjoy their new found freedom. All the fun comes to a grinding halt when an investigation is launched into the three murders. The show is the eighth international adaptation of popular Finnish show Black Widows. It also stars Raima Sen and is directed by Birsa Dasgupta.
Mona shared a picture from the show on instagram and wrote, “No spiders were harmed during the making of this show, but some men were The wait is over. #BlackWidows Trailer Premieres Tomorrow #WomenOnTop.”
The show will premiere on Zee5 on December 18.
