Rhea Chakraborty will be produced before the magistrate shortly,  the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said an hour after arresting the Bollywood actor, news agency ANI reported. However, the agency has nor recovered any contraband in her possession.

Rhea was arrested on Tuesday in the drugs case related to actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

“Whatever she told was sufficient for the arrest. We have arrested her, it means we had enough,” Mutha Ashok Jain, Deputy Director General of the bureau’s south-western region was quoted by ANI, as saying.

“We don’t need her custody remand so we’ll seek judicial custody. We aren’t asking for her custody remand as whatever we wanted to cross with her, we’ve done already,” he said.

He added that the anti-narcotics bureau will however, oppose her bail. “We are only seeking judicial custody but we don’t support the bail,” Jain was quoted, as saying.

The anti-drugs probe agency has been questioning Chakraborty for the last three days. She has reportedly been taken into custody on charges of drug procurement and consumption.

Three central agencies, the NCB, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) are probing various angles linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The actor, 34, was found dead at his house in Mumbai’s Bandra on June 14. The Mumbai Police had initially said that the actor died due to suicide. However, the case was later handed over to the following a plea by Rajput’s family in the Supreme Court.
