Tech giant Apple, during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), dedicated a segment in its keynote to privacy. Apple talked about new privacy-focused features along with the new iOS 15 and how will it benefit the user. Apple will add a new menu that shows which apps are silently collecting data from users, with Apple aiming to increase device privacy even further.

Apple will add a Mail Privacy Protection to hide IP address and prevents senders from seeing when and if you opened the email. Apple will also hide the IP address from Safari.

Apple will be adding a new App Privacy Report in settings. This feature will allow the user to look at apps which use location, photos, etc.  It will also allow the user to grant or take away access from the app.

Apple also has a few new security and privacy features for the new iCloud+ premium service, including private relay, to encrypt the user’s Safari internet traffic.

Apple also announced that its voice assistant Siri will soon be able to process speech on the device itself. This means that no audio will leave the device. According to the company, this feature will also help make Siri respond to requests faster.
