Nadia told OprahMag.com that she signed up for Indian
Matchmaking because she was ready for her moment. “That was the biggest hope
going into it- maybe this would bring me something great.”

According to RepublicWorld.com Nadia Jagessar is an
MBA from Seton Hall University. She runs her own event management company called
Euphoria. This company offers a variety of wedding planning facilities from
full event planning to a day of coordination. As an event planner, she holds
the attitude of “try everything once”. Besides that, Nadia also works as an
Associate Marketing Manager for Givaudan. She is also listed on IMDB as a
dancer for her dance over Dholida.

On the show, she was first paired with Ravi Guru Singh
who is
of her age and is a Guyanese-American. But when she met him, they found no compatibility or spark between
them.

Her second match was Vinay Chadha, who stood Nadia up
twice. But there may be a more complicated version of the story that Netflix
captured. In a long Instagram post, Vinay admitted to cancelling both dates but
insisted he was upfront about it. Things did not work out between Nadia and
Vinay. While speaking with the New York Post Nadia mentioned, “I have some
messages where I said I don’t wish to pursue anything further… If he considers
that ghosting, that’s fine.”

As a member of the Indo-Guyanese community, Nadia
admits on the show to have been pretty unlucky in love. She also mentions how
she is often viewed as “not Indian enough” to marry into an Indian family.

She was then paired with Shekar Jayaraman, who was initially paired with Aparna Shewakramani. Shekar is based in Chicago and owns a law firm. Nadia flew to Chicago with her mother to meet Shekar. When Nadia met Shekar, things looked positive for both of them. The two had a great date, with Shekar showing her the sights of Chicago and bonding with her mother too. The last we see Nadia is walking in rain with Shekar. “Being off camera definitely changed the
dynamic between myself and the matches that I had continued talking to,”
she told the LA Times.  The two are no longer
together.
