Darius Campbell Danesh, who finished third on ITV talent show Pop Idol, died at the age of 41.
His family said that the West End star was found unresponsive in his US apartment. The cause of death is not known.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darius Campbell Danesh. Darius was found unresponsive in bed in his apartment room in Rochester, Minnesota, on August 11 and was pronounced dead in the afternoon by the local medical examiners’ office,” his family said in a statement.

“The local police department have confirmed that there were no signs of intent or suspicious circumstances. The cause of his sudden death is unknown at this stage while medical examinations continue.We ask that you kindly respect our wishes for privacy at this time whilst we come to terms with the tragic loss of our son and brother.”
Campbell was married to Canadian actor Natasha Henstridge. The couple divorced after two years in 2018.

Who is Natasha Henstridge?
A Canadian actor, Natasha Tonya Henstridge, was born in Springdale, Newfoundland. She is 48 years old.
Raised in Fort McMurray, Alberta, with her younger brother, Shane, Henstridge, at 14, first modelled. She entered the Casablanca Modeling Agency’s Look of the Year contest and was chosen first runner-up.

She married US actor Damian Chapa in 1995 and they divorced in 1996.
Henstridge first shot to fame in 1995 with her debut role in the science-fiction thriller Species, followed by Species II.
