In a trailer for Ahsoka, Grand Admiral Thrawn was shown for the first time in a live-action setting. The blue-skinned, red-eyed Imperial Chiss is said to be voiced by Rebels actor Lars Mikkelsen in the future series.

However, given the antagonist was only visible from behind in the footage, it appears Lucasfilm is determined to keep any formal confirmation of its Thrawn star a secret.

So here’s a list of actors who could possibly play Thrawn:

1)Lars Mikkelsen

It is uncommon for a voice actor to be chosen for the same role in a live-action production, but if the rumors are to be considered true, Lars Mikkelsen has done it. Given how well-versed he is in the character, many fans think he would make a fantastic Grand Admiral Thrawn. He is familiar with Thrawn’s tone of speech, cadence, and word inflection. He is familiar with Thrawn’s demeanor. Grand Admiral Thrawn is one of the greatest Star Wars villains because of his cool, cunning, and ruthless manner. With his parts in House of Cards, Sherlock Series 3, and more lately, Netflix’s The Witcher, Lars has attracted attention.

Choosing the same actor who has been portraying one of the most adored/hated Star Wars villains would make sense for the Lucasfilm.

But he is also well-known to many fans as Manfred Powell, the villain from Angelina Jolie’s Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. He would undoubtedly impart Thrawn’s steely grace to the situation.

3) Antony Starr

With his role of Homelander, the psychotic leader of The Seven in Amazon Prime’s The Boys, he has drawn the interest of superhero fans. He is both a villain who can look to be a hero and a villain who can be both. With his unpredictable irascibility, he could undoubtedly carry himself like Thrawn. Additionally, he is not very well recognized, which might be advantageous for the Star Wars world.
