Who is Sophie Lloyd?
Born on September 2, 1996, in London, Sophie Lloyd is a guitarist for Machine Gun Kelly. She developed an interest in music at a very young age. She would return home from school and practice on her Yamaha Pacifica guitar for at least five hours each day.
“I started playing guitar when I was around 10 years old after listening to Led Zeppelin in the car with my dad. Because I was a bit of an outcast, I had a lot of time to practise and this gave me an escape from reality, helped me overcome my anxieties and really gave me a sense of fulfilment,” she said on her website.
She graduated from BIMM Institute and went on to receive “a First Class Honours BMus in Popular Music Performance.”
