Who is Sophie Lloyd?

Born on September 2, 1996, in London, Sophie Lloyd is a guitarist for Machine Gun Kelly. She developed an interest in music at a very young age. She would return home from school and practice on her Yamaha Pacifica guitar for at least five hours each day.

“I started playing guitar when I was around 10 years old after listening to Led Zeppelin in the car with my dad. Because I was a bit of an outcast, I had a lot of time to practise and this gave me an escape from reality, helped me overcome my anxieties and really gave me a sense of fulfilment,” she said on her website.

She graduated from BIMM Institute and went on to receive “a First Class Honours BMus in Popular Music Performance.”

In 2018, she released her EP “Delusions,” which Jason Wilson of Stakeout Studios produced and recorded. As of right now, 5.9 million people have viewed it. She is a successful guitarist who has collaborated with many well-known artists, including Fleur East, Mike Hurst, and Clem Clempson.
