Pinocchio 2022 is all set to release on Disney Plus on
September 8. The film, an American musical fantasy, is a live-action adaptation
of the 1940 animated film of the same name. The storyline is derived from the
1883 novel The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi.

The film casts Tom Hanks as Geppetto and the other cast
members include Cynthia Erivo, Giuseppe Battiston and Luke Evans and some
voice-over artists like Benjamin Ainsworth for the role of Pinocchio and
various others like Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Keegan-Michael Key and Lorraine Bracco.

The film is going to be all about Pinocchio’s adventures,
much like it was in the books. Mangiafuoco is one of the characters of the book
which was renamed as Stromboli in Pinocchio, 1940.

Stromboli is one of the antagonists who is a puppeteer and a
showman who is very keen on making money, even if it is at the expense of
others.

He, who is typically very cheerful and kind-hearted (or as he pretended
to be in the beginning), gets frequently agitated and, consequently, curses. In
due course, it is revealed that he is very adverse to humiliation. This becomes
apparent when Pinocchio falls off the stairs while on stage. Though he appeared
patient and let the show proceed, later his true nature was unmasked. He
purchased Pinocchio from Honest John and Gideon. He had earned a significantly
large amount of money by showing Pinocchio on stage.

Stromboli gets to earn an enormous amount of money because
of Pinocchio and agrees to make him famous. This unveils the fact that
Stromboli is someone who would not decline from praising someone who is of
great financial use to him. But he deceived him by giving him a fake coin and
keeping the real money for himself.

But the tale unfolds to show that Stromboli had shown a very
cruel side when he had locked Pinocchio up in a cage because, in his opinion,
he was too old to work, revealing his arrogant nature. But Pinocchio escaped
with the help of the Blue Fairy and Jiminy Cricket.

The ultimate fate of Stromboli was left to the
interpretation of the viewers.
