Vicky Kaushal is a 33-year-old Indian actor known best for secrecy, whether as an army officer who conducts a secret strike in the movie URI, or a guy who is soon to marry Bollywood’s Katrina Kaif, in a wedding location as secure as an army camp.

Born on May 16, 1988, Kaushal spent his childhood in the chawls of Malad, Mumbai. His family hails from Hoshiarpur, Punjab. His father was a stuntman back in the days.

Kaushal spent his years in school participating and performing in school events, skits and plays.

Young Kaushal was a die-hard fan of actor Hrithik Roshan, who he once met and had a picture clicked with. Who knew the little boy with Roshan would end up marrying Roshan’s co-star and love interest in the hit 2014 movie, Bang Bang.

In his years of college, Kaushal realized that a 9-5 corporate job wasn’t his thing, and so he decided to pursue a career in theatre and acting. After initially assisting Anurag Kashyap in Gangs of Wasseypur, Kaushal began to work in theatre groups, hoping to get a foot in the sparkly world of Bollywood.

He learnt acting at the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute in Mumbai. After years of hard work and perseverance, Kaushal bagged a supporting role in 2012 in his first film, Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana. In 2015, he rose to fame after his leading role in the critic-acclaimed film, Masaan. After that, he continued to gain eyeballs and win hearts through his roles in Sanju, Raazi and URI. Kaushal’s dating history is rather simple, with a long-term relationship with actor Harleen Sethi, who he split up with in 2019.

This year, Kaushal delivered yet another exceptional performance in Shoojit Sircar’s Sardar Udham.

As of now, Kaushal is busy being the star, along with his lady love Katrina Kaif, of the most anticipated Bollywood wedding of the year.
